Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand has admitted he is worried about Christian Eriksen?s situation at Manchester United.
The Denmark boss has been speaking to Ekstra Bladet, relayed by Fotboll Skanalen, about Eriksen?s situation as he struggles for gametime under Erik ten Hag.
A report from the same newspaper today covered how Eriksen had hit a ?dead end? under Ten Hag this season, barely featuring over the last few months despite Manchester United?s midfield problems.
He was a regular for Manchester United last season, making 44 appearances in all competitions and over 3000 minutes but that has changed this year, with just 20 games and 1087 minutes of football to date.
That was ?problematic? for him and his country, with the latter unable to continue picking him if he isn?t a regular for his club, as is often the case for international sides. He?s in Hjulmand?s squad for the next international break but that could change moving forwards if his situation at Manchester United, where he?s managed just 37 minutes in the last seven games, doesn?t improve drastically.
And now Hjulmand himself has admitted he?s concerned about the 32-year-old?s situation, insisting that the player?s situation isn?t optimal, and it will need to change.
?It is a concern for me regarding the situation Christian has found himself in. It is absolutely not optimal. We really hope that changes this spring,? he said.
