?Priceless feeling? – Southampton man?s January move was his ?destiny?, will likely ?grow exponentially? in coming months
It appears that Carlos Alcaraz?s big move from Southampton to Juventus in January was written in the stars.
That is, at least, what Gabriel Arias Arroyo, the current goalkeeper at Racing Club, the midfielder?s former team, explained to Tuttosport on Wednesday following the 21-year-old?s loan to the Serie A side.
We will ignore the comparisons to Arturo Vidal for now, since they have been frequent in Italy after the transfer?s approval, but the 36-year-old shot stopper made some interesting revelations about the Southampton star.
First pointing out that Alcaraz has been inspired by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo because of his professionalism off the pitch in how he prepares for games, he then revealed something interesting about the midfielder. He said: ?I believe that Juventus was in Charly?s destiny: in the Predio Tita Mattiussi (Racing?s training ground), there was a lot of talk about the fact that he was also a crack with the controller in his hand. He won on the Playstation. He chose Juventus and won, very often. Being able to find himself on FIFA with those colours on must be a priceless feeling for him.?
While the Southampton loanee will be delighted with that, Arroyo also reckons that the move to Juventus will do him wonders as a footballer, getting to work under someone like Max Allegri.
Already a player that has an ability to arrive late in the box and creating problems for defenders, he could become an even more complete player after some time in Italy.
