Southampton man could now be out ‘for a month’ – Not the ideal scenario for player at this time

On Thursday, Juventus announced that Southampton loanee Carlos Alcaraz had suffered an injury to his hamstring during Wednesday?s training session.
The next steps were for the Serie A side to reassess the player in 10-15 days to determine how long he would be out for, but Gazzetta dello Sport appear to already have a bit of an indication.
They explain Juventus could lose the Southampton man ?for a month?, meaning he would miss the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi final against Lazio on April 2nd.
The certainty is he won?t be able to play against Atalanta on Sunday, adding to an expanding list of injuries in midfield in Turin with Adrien Rabiot also out and Weston McKennie, who might just be able to be fit in time. The frustration will also be personal for Alcaraz, who already had a limited amount of time to prove himself at Juventus during a five month loan from Southampton, and missing a month from means he will have to work even hard to impress everyone in Italy to try and get them to sign him permanently.
One to keep an eye on, as the longer he is out, the likelier it is he will return to St Mary?s without the Serie A club even attempting to negotiate a transfer.
