“I’m going to try to solve it” – Attempts being made to end Tottenham player drama, ‘guidelines’ on the way
South Korea caretaker manager Hwang Sun-hong has revealed that he has already held talks with Tottenham Hotspur?s Son Heung-min and Paris Saint-Germain?s Lee Kang-in after the duo were involved in a clash last month.
Jordan knocked out the Taegeuk Warriors in the Asian Cup semi-final in February and a day before the clash, the Tottenham star dislocated his finger.
According to Chosun Biz, the incident took place when a few South Korean youngsters, including Lee, went to play table tennis, which didn?t please Son and other senior players in the squad.
The 31-year-old Tottenham forward and Lee exchanged some words before the former hurt his finger. He took to Instagram to put the feud with his compatriot behind him.
South Korea?s exit from the Asian Cup resulted in them sacking Jurgen Klinsmann and appointing Hwang Sun-hong as interim manager. He’s included the duo in the squad to face Thailand twice in World Cup qualifiers this month. Hwang Sun-hong has been speaking to the media and explained his decision to pick the Spurs player and the PSG attacking midfielder.
“I communicated directly with both players. Lee Kang-in wants to apologise sincerely to football fans and the players. Son Heung-min also expressed the opinion that he should go out in unity and support the players, so he was selected,? he said, relayed by Chosun Biz.
