Opinion: Player ratings from Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Brighton
Tottenham Hotspur were back to winning ways this afternoon in the Premier League as they beat Brighton 2-1 in North London.
Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:

Hugo Lloris – 7 – Made one really great stop to deny Mac Allister in the first half, as well as a number of other more routine saves. Still looks nervy with the ball at his feet at times.
Pedro Porro – 7 – Made some really great late runs down the right side but Tottenham struggled to find that one killer ball to release him. On another day, he might have grabbed something at the back post.
Cristian Romero – 7 – A pretty typical Romero performance where he was by far Tottenham’s best defender but so clearly needs better people around him to take full advantage of his skills. Eric Dier – 5.5 – The defence was all over the place at times today. Dier really should have been marking Dunk for Brighton’s goal. Some of his long-range passing was also hopeful at best.
Clement Lenglet – 6 – Not the best defensively but a little more impressive on the ball, which has been the theme of his season. Spurs seem to struggle defensively down the left.
Ivan Perisic – 6 – A bit of a strange performance today from Perisic. When he did get forward, he got into some good areas to make use of his fantastic crossing. But so often it was Skipp bursting down the le...
