Even though Radu Dragusin is still to have a major impact at Tottenham Hotspur, he’s still pretty glad to have joined the club this year.
The centre-back, who’s currently with Romania’s national team, spoke to the local media and was quizzed about his recent move to England.
Quoted by Sport, he started by claiming that his adaptation at Tottenham has been going pretty well.
?I?ve settled in very well at Tottenham. They welcomed me with incredible warmth. The people there are very professional. They always try to get you settled in as quickly as possible,” said Dragusin.
He also commented on why he gave the Premier League his priority in the winter window.
“Football in England has always been a goal for me. I like the style of play, the intensity, the speed. When the offers came, that?s where I wanted to go.” Regarding his first few months at Tottenham, he talked about what stood out for him earlier on.
“I was definitely impressed by the intensity of the training first and foremost. The strength that the guys have there. Their physical development and quality. A lot of people wrote to me and congratulated me.”
Tottenham spent ?25m to sign Dragusin from Genoa in January, and despite their search for a new centre-back, there was no such urgency for him to get straight into the team.
