Director continues transfer battles with manager – Leicester City player looks the latest victim
Sevilla director Victor Orta has seemingly continued his battle with manager Quique Sanchez Flores, by deciding Leicester City loanee Boubakary Soumare won?t be joining on a permanent basis.
Estadio Deportivo report that the Sevilla director of football has made a ?firm decision? regarding the loanee, and he won?t be joining permanently.
The newspaper explains that Orta faces this summer transfer market with economic limitations put on him that severely hamper his ability to move in the window.
He has two priorities moving forwards, another goalkeeper and a defensive midfielder but the latter does not mean he?ll push to sign Soumare.
That?s because the purchase clause they negotiated for him requires an effort that is ?beyond the reach? financially for the Spanish team at this moment in time. The Leicester man is very popular at the club, particularly with manager Quique Sanchez Flores, who has made him a key player in his system, and while work has been undertaken to try and get a permanent deal, Orta has decided against it.
There is still a small hope they can get Leicester to negotiate downwards into a more favourable deal but for now the planning is being done without the midfielder in it.
At the moment, though, the max they can spend on him is ?4m, or ?8m if they manage to secure a big sale which means a deal with Leicester would prove hard to get done.
