Arsenal?s Gabriel Jesus has told Cartolouco that he wants to return to Palmeiras in the future.
The forward is a product of the Brazilian club?s academy and spent two years with their first team between 2015 and 2017. He won the Copa do Brasil in 2015, and had a role in helping Palmeiras win the league in 2016.
The 26-year-old?s displays for Palmeiras helped him get a move to Manchester City, who then sold him to Arsenal in 2022.
The Gunners star has expressed his desire to win the title again with Palmeiras, and made it clear that he doesn?t want to return to his old club just to see out his career.
“I do [want to come back]. But if I want to come back, I want to come back well. Not to hang up my boots. I consider myself to be a boy who came from the grassroots, I’ve won two titles, a Brazilian one after 22 years, so it’s something very significant,? he said, as relayed by Bolvaip Brazil. The Brazil international had won every domestic competition with the Citizens and was also part of their squad that lost the Champions League final in 2021. He hasn?t won silverware with the Gunners so far.
When asked about his goals, Jesus explained: ?Winning a World Cup, a UEFA Champions League and a Libertadores with Verdão. I think it?s possible, I have at least 10 more years of career.?
