The League Cup is often seen by many as the best route to ending a long trophy drought in N17, but coming up against the reigning Premier League champions in Round Four is less than ideal.

Spurs have performed poorly in the cup competitions over the past two seasons and fans will be dying for a good old-fashioned cup run into 2025.

Of course, facing a heavyweight like Man City so early on comes with its pros and cons. If you get knocked out, at least you did so early and have fewer games to play. If you get through, you’re not only in the hat for the next round, but also knocked out one of your biggest rivals to lift the trophy.
