The Carabao Cup third round will be played at the end of September (PA)

Manchester United will play Crystal Palace in the third round of the Carabao Cup, while Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been handed tricky Premier League opponents.

Chelsea, who scraped past AFC Wimbledon with a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge in the second round on Wednesday evening, will host Brighton in the next round.

Arsenal will travel to Brentford, while Premier League champions Manchester City will have a tough test away to Newcastle United.

Aston Villa will play Everton at Villa Park in the other all-Premier League tie.

Elsewhere, Liverpool will host Leicester City, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, at Anfield.
