Saka seventh – The youngest players to 50 Premier League goals

Bukayo Saka celebrated his 50th goal in the Premier League at the weekend, as the Arsenal winger opened the scoring in his side’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
Saka checked inside Andy Robertson with a brilliant nutmeg before lashing a high finish past Caoimhin Kelleher in a flash.
It was the sort of clinical finish that has become customary for Saka, whose half-century in the Premier League was brought up at a younger age than any other Arsenal player.

Saka’s goal saw him eclipse Thierry Henry’s club record, having reached 50 goals in the Premier League aged just 23 years and 52 days.
He’s the seventh-youngest player in Premier League history to reach the 50-goal mark and joins some illustrious names to have reached the milestone aged 23 or under. Saka edges out Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford by just four days to take seventh spot, though the Arsenal winger trails the leaders by some distance.
Robbie Fowler reached 50 goals in the Premier League at a younger age than any other player, achieving the feat as a 20-year-old following his stunning emergence at Liverpool.
Fowler scored 30+ goals in each of his first three full seasons with the Reds and brought up 50 league goals during the 1995/96 season.
Michael Owen is the only other player to have reached 50 Premier League goals before turning 21, with Wayne Rooney rounding out the top three.
