Match Preview: A Black and Yellow Rematch at the Santiago Bernabéu

Can Sahin?s troops stand up against the reigning champions" When Dortmund enter the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday night to face off against Real Madrid, it will be no more than five months since the two European giants clashed in the 2024 Champions League Final. For Dortmund, it?s a chance for a rematch, and for Real Madrid, it?s a chance to show everyone that they?re still worthy of the title as the world?s best football club. On Tuesday, the two teams will be entering the match from two very different positions. As we all know, Dortmund have huffed and puffed this season and are currently sitting 7th in the Bundesliga table. Madrid, on the other hand, are still yet to lose a game in La Liga this season, and they have only let in 7 goals in 10 games so far. This puts them in 2nd, just behind Hansi Flick?s high-flying Barcelona side. While Real Madrid are unbeaten in the league, they haven?t been all bulletproof this season. Their last UCL match saw them lose 1-0 to LOSC Lille quite deservedly, which means that there?s absolutely no reason why Dortmund shouldn?t try and take anything from this match. Madrid will be without Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, and Brahim Diaz, and Dortmund will be missing Karim Adeyemi and Yan Couto, with Niklas Süle being a question mark for the time being.
