Match Preview: A Last Dance for Marco Reus at the Westfalenstadion

Marco Reus? legacy at Dortmund ends at home against Darmstadt. And so it ends. On Saturday afternoon, Marco Reus will play his last ever Bundesliga game at the Westfalenstadion?the place that has been his footballing home for the past 12 years. While there is a Champions League final luring in the horizon, tomorrow will still be all about Reus, and with good reason. The club icon has spent his whole playing career in the Bundesliga, and his likely move abroad will not only be a loss for Dortmund, but for the league as a whole. I think I speak on the behalf of many fans when I say, that Marco Reus was the player who made them fall in love with Borussia Dortmund all the way back in 2012. There are simply not enough words to describe what a player Reus has been for the club for more than a decade. He?s without a doubt the most recognizable Dortmund player in the 21st century, and tomorrow, we all get to enjoy him one last time.

Edin Terzic announced at his press conference, that Reus will be in the starting XI. He will also be wearing the captains armband in his last game, and before the match, he will receive the usual flowers and portrait, and as a special treat, he?ll be gifted a limited edition Rolex watch by the club.
