Match Preview: Dortmund Look for Signs of Life Against Wolfsburg in the DFB Pokal

Hello, is anybody home" I?m looking for Borussia Dortmund.
Our beloved Borussia Dortmund faces VFL Wolfsburg in the DFB Pokal tomorrow, and to be honest, things aren?t looking too hot. In the Bundesliga, Die Schwarzgelben have lost three of their last five matches. In the Champions League, they just blew a 2-0 second half lead against Real Madrid. That leaves the DFB-Pokal, a tournament that only takes one off-night for a team?s trophy ambitions to end. Regretfully, off-nights have become unnervingly common for BVB. Between the team?s woeful form and an abysmal record away from home, tomorrow?s match is looking awfully tricky.
For whatever it?s worth, VfL Wolfsburg have not been good this season. Ralph Hasenhüttl may have rescued the Wolves from relegation last season, but it?s looking like Wolfsburg will be fighting for survival again this year. They?re off to a 2-2-4 start, with some admittedly unlucky results such as a last-minute defeat against Bayer Leverkusen. While the bottom three in the Bundesliga are inept enough that Wolfsburg might ultimately survive with relative ease, that is faint praise. But then again, Augsburg have not been good either, and they beat Dortmund this weekend, so clearly victory is no guarantee tomorrow. Player to Watch: Mohamed Amoura
