MOTM Poll: Borussia Dortmund Deserved 2-1 Winners Against St. Pauli

Despite a close score and a late winner, BVB were solid in their victory against St. Pauli. On their return from the international break, Borussia Dortmund faced St. Pauli at the Westfalenstadion, hoping to return to winning ways after their pre-break loss to Union Berlin. They left it late but ended with a 2-1 win over St. Pauli tonight after Serhou Guirassy headed home the winning goal in the 83rd minute.
BVB took the lead just before half-time when Ramy Bensebaini did an excellent job converting a Pascal Groß cross, but it looked like Dortmund might drop points, despite a relatively dominant (if not necessarily good) performance, after an absolute belter of a shot from St. Pauli?s Eric Smith levelled things in the 78th minute. However, BVB snatched the deserved victory when Jamie Gittens found Guirassy with a pinpoint cross, and Guirassy did a great job to steer it into the back of the net to win the game. Ramy Bensebaini
Bensebaini hasn?t had the best of times since joining Dortmund, but he had a big game tonight. Besides his well-converted goal, he made a huge block in the first half to keep things level. This was the Bensebaini we were hoping to see when BVB bought him last summer.
