Dominic Solanke is a significant doubt for Bournemouth?s trip to face Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday and will be assessed closer to the match.

The 26-year-old, who has been in excellent form this season, was a surprise absentee from the Cherries? squad for their 1-0 defeat at home to Championship leaders Leicester City in the FA Cup fifth round.

In the absence of their top scorer, Bournemouth failed to covert any of their 27 shots in the game and were knocked out of the Cup when Abdul Fatawu netted in the 105th minute of extra-time.

Solanke had been virtually ever-present before Tuesday?s defeat, playing in all but one of their games ? an FA Cup third-round win over QPR.
While manager Andoni Iraola does not believe Solanke?s issue is a significant one, he has confirmed that the forward has been struggling with a knee complaint.

?Dom wasn?t feeling well in his knee,? explained the Spanish coach when asked why Solanke missed the defeat to Leicester.

?We have to assess him and we hope it?s not something big and he can help us this weekend.?

He added: ?It doesn?t look very big but he wasn?t ready to be involved.

?We did an MRI [on Tuesday] so we have to see what he has.

?We hoped that he could be on the bench [against Leicester] but we assessed him at the last moment and he wasn?t feeling well.?
