Another win for the under-21s

The under-21s continued their great run this afternoon with another win, this time beating Wigan 2-0 at their Christopher Park training ground.
Two goals in the first twelve minutes of the second half gave us the win. Tom Tweedy (pictured) scored the first with a shot that went in off the underside of the bar and Tommy McDermott completed the scoring with a powerful shot.
McDermott again came close and substitute Charlie Veevers, on his return from injury, hit the post before Brandon Ly came close. Wigan themselves had a late chance to reduce the arrears but the game ended with Joe Westley scoring only for it to be ruled out for offside.
