International Tucker

Back in February 2020, Ne-Jai Tucker, then a 17-year-old winger in Burnley?s youth team, was called up for Bermuda to play in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championships.
It was a good week for the academy at Burnley with him joining 16-year-old Michael Mellon and 14-year-old Joe Bauress who had been called up for Scotland under-17s and England under-14s respectively.
Tucker blossomed for a time but the 2022/23 season proved to be his last at Burnley. He was one of twelve under-21 players released at the end of that season.
He seemed to disappear for a while but thanks to Mikael Jönsson, who helps keep me up to date with international matters, I can now confirm that he?s back home playing in Bermuda. He?s now playing for St. George?s Cricket Club but has also moved into the international arena. He has played on ten occasions for Bermuda, the last of them coming in a 6-1 win against Dominica last Sunday. He didn?t score in the game, although he does have one international goal, but there was one familiar name on the scoresheet. Bermuda?s first three goals were scored by another former Claret Nahki Wells.
Thanks to Mikael for the information and belated congratulations to Ne-Jai.
