Trafford wins the day in Liverpool defeat

Goalkeeper James Trafford was the winner of both the man of the match and the player ratings from our 2-0 Boxing Day home defeat against Liverpool.
Trafford was again in top form and made a number of big saves, notably those in the first half to deny Mohamed Salaha and Watari End? in what was arguably his best home performance since coming into the Burnley team at the start of the season,.
He was a big winner for the man of the match, polling 66% of the vote with Wilson Odobert, who caused Liverpool some problems down the left in the second half, finishing second with a 13% share. Two defenders took the next two places; Dara O?Shea was third with 5% while 4% of the vote won Charlie Taylor fourth place.
There were no changes at the top of the player ratings with the same four players taking the same positions. Trafford rated at 8.31 out of ten with Odobert behind with 7.31. O?Shea was the third player to rate higher than seven for a good performance, and just with 7.02 and Taylor was fourth with a rating of 6.54 out of ten. It?s given Trafford ten points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year with Odobert winning six points alongside four points for O?Shea and two points for Taylor.
The top three in the table remain the same with Sander Berge way ahead of both Luca Koleosho and Lyle Foster, but Trafford has now moved into fourth place, just six points behind Foster.
There is just one more vote to go in 2023 and that will be underway later today following our game agai...
