‘Smell money’ – Everton ready to sell player to Chelsea this summer, looking at big fee

Chelsea continue to have Amadou Onana on their list after failing to take him away from Everton in the winter market, according to Het Nieuwsblad.
The 21-year-old didn?t entertain the west London club?s approach in January. He felt it wasn?t the right time to leave the Toffees, six months after joining them from Lille.
Chelsea want to attract the midfielder in the summer and a transfer remains possible due to Everton?s willingness to carry out the deal.
It?s claimed Chelsea have been closely following the Belgium international and have been in regular contact with his entourage. There?s a good possibility the player could leave the Merseyside club after this season.
Everton are 16th in the table, level on points with 18th placed AFC Bournemouth. If Sean Dyche?s side are relegated, it?s ?one thousand percent certain? he?ll change clubs. The report warns Everton supporters to have ?no illusions? of seeing Onana play for them next season. Even if they stay in the top flight, there?s a ?very good chance? he ?will leave? Goodison Park in the next window
With the Belgian expected to leave Everton, they ?smell money?. It’s claimed Dyche’s side are aiming to collect a fee between ?60m and ?70m.
Onana is ready to take the next step and Everton are aiming to raise funds. These factors make it certain he’ll leave the club.
Het Nieuwsblad don?t specify whether Chelsea are ready to meet the demands set by the Toffees for Onana.
