AC Milan are close to agreeing terms with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek over a summer transfer, according to reports.

Loftus-Cheek has made 33 appearances for the Blues this season but is one of the players the west Londoners are ready to offload ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

Chelsea have spent over £600m since Todd Boehly came in as co-owner last summer and need to sell players to avoid a Financial Fair Play breach.

Loftus-Cheek, who has 10 caps for England, came through the club’s youth academy and has helped Chelsea win the Premier League and Europa League.

He has made a total of 155 appearances since making his first team debut – registering 13 goals and 18 assists – and has also spent time out on loan at Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Fulham.
But Loftus-Cheek could now be set to join former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori at AC Milan in Serie A.

According to reports, the Italian club have been in direct contact with Loftus-Cheek for over two weeks and are now close to agreeing terms with the 27-year-old over a long-term contract.
