“Room for improvement” – Leicester City star reflects on season so far, suggests more possible
Leicester City have picked up six points in the Premier League this season and goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has received some praise along the way.
The 24-year-old’s busiest performance so far in the campaign came at Arsenal, against whom he made 13 saves and equalled a Premier League record that David de Gea had created many years ago.
The Dane spoke to TipsBladet about how the campaign has been so far for him and also reflected on Leicester’s loss to the Gunners.
?It was busy, but that’s how it is sometimes. I’m happy that I was able to contribute with a few saves, but of course it ended with zero points.Â
?So there wasn’t much to celebrate afterwards either, but it’s clear that I was happy to be able to contribute and get to show some of it. But yes, it was a game in which we unfortunately got zero points.? The ex-Brondby man has been praised for his performances so far for Leicester and was also asked what he makes of the appreciation he received after the loss at the Emirates.
?Yes, it’s nice to hear that people think I’ve done a good job, but as you say, the best effort from a losing team’s goalkeeper, that’s nice, but it sounds a bit hollow, one way or another.Â
?Not the statements, you know, but the feeling for me. It’s nice to be able to contribute, but of course I’m tired of the fact that we couldn’t hold on to the one point.?
The goalkeeper has played all seven games so far for the Foxes...
