Leicester City are approaching an agreement with Genk for Bilal El Khannouss as they continue to strengthen before the end of the window.
That?s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who report that Leicester could be closing in on their latest signing.
The newspaper explains that Leicester are approaching an agreement with Genk for El Khannouss worth around Khannouss worth around ?25m. This would include ?realistic bonuses? and 15% of a future profit.
The deal would be a club record for Genk, who appear to be open to the sale. The deal is not done yet, but it is now a matter of the final details being clarified.
HLN add that El Khannouss wants the move to Leicester City and the latest proposal on the table comes close to what the Belgian side have been looking for. The player has been at odds with Genk in recent days after making it clear he wanted to move on this summer.
His entourage had decided that Genk were asking for too much after various proposals were rejected. That led the player to skip group training on Monday.
El Khannouss already has a deal in place with Leicester and has already emptied out his locker, a further indication of his desire to move on.
Negotiations between the two clubs have continued and Genk sent a counterproposal to Leicester on Tuesday morning.  This was a fixed amount of ?21m plus ?6m in variables and 10% of the profit on a future sale.
