Leicester City’s Boubakary Soumaré spent last season on loan at Sevilla, making 34 appearances in all competitions. He returned to the King Power Stadium after the La Liga side refused to exercise their purchase option.
The midfielder hasn’t managed to find space under new Leicester manager Steve Cooper. He’s been restricted to 13 minutes of action from two substitute league appearances this season.
His situation at Leicester has caught the Andalusian club’s attention. Last month, Vamos Mi Sevilla FC reported the 25-year-old can be an interesting option for them in January.

Soumaré isn’t pleased with his limited game time at the Premier League side. It’s claimed he has ‘expressed his desire’ to return to the Spanish club, where he felt comfortable and enjoyed regular minutes. García Pimienta’s side could take his desire and situation at Leicester into account, to sign him on a temporary deal. They would include a purchase option much lower than the ?14m inserted in the previous deal.
The Leicester player and Sevilla feel the transfer will be beneficial for both parties. They haven’t taken the Foxes’ stance into account and the report makes no mention of their plans for Soumaré.
