Liverpool have reportedly entered talks to sign Manu Kone from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, in a deal that could cost ?40-45m.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the 22-year-old Frenchman but Jurgen Klopp’s team appear to be leading the race.

According to German outlet Bild, Liverpool have been in contact with Kone’s representatives and have expressed their interest in a summer transfer.

Kone has registered 31 appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach this season, who finished 10th in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Monchengladbach want ?40-45m for Kone, who is under contract until 2025, while the German club have the option to extend his deal for a further year.
It is believed that Borussia Monchengladbach want to use the fee they receive for Kone to help fund moves for new players in the summer window.

It could be a busy summer for Liverpool, who have been linked to several players as they look to return to the top four after a disappointing 2022-23 campaign.
