Erling Haaland now holds the record for the most goals scored in a single 38-game Premier League season with 34.
Haaland overtook Liverpool forward Mo Salah’s 32-goal tally with his strike during Manchester City’s 4-1 win over Arsenal at the Etihad.
Salah hit the record after 36 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s men in 2017/18, with the Reds finishing in fourth position in the Premier League table that year.

The Egyptian fan-favourite scored on the final day of the season to become the outright record-holder, having been tied on 31 goals at the start of the day with former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
