Andre Onana dismissed any issues between him and Harry Maguire after the goalkeeper launched a furious rant at the defender during Manchester United’s friendly defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.

The Red Devils were beaten 3-2 by the German side in Las Vegas, making it three defeats on the spin in pre-season.

A notable moment in the friendly came when the new signing from Inter Milan did not seem like a fresh addition to the squad, berating the former captain for a sloppy pass.

The Cameroon international ran out of his goal to shout at Maguire for his decision to play a short pass to Christian Eriksen, which led to a Dortmund chance and Onana making a save.
The 27-year-old says it was perfectly normal to communicate with his teammate in this way, saying that the players have to demand a lot of themselves if they want to be successful.

?I try to talk to them a lot because I know he’s a good player, he is one of the captains of the the team,’ Onana told Manchester United club media of Maguire.

?That?s big and he is good with the ball, so I would demand [from] him a lot and he?s a good, great guy. I have a good relationship with him. I have to be and he has to be ready and I spoke with him because when I’m in the goal, I demand to everyone a lot.
