Sir Jim Ratcliffe puts nine Manchester United players up for sale as club hope to raise £100m to ease Financial Fair Play concerns

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe hopes to raise as much as £100m through player sales this summer to ease the club’s Financial Fair Play concerns.
The Red Devils spent £170m last summer, recouping just £50m through the departures of Anthony Elanga, Dean Henderson, Fred and Teden Mengi.
While United’s recruitment failures have been well documented, the club have been just as bad in terms of exits.
Only five players – David Beckham, Daniel James, Romelu Lukaku, Angel Di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo – have left the club for fees over £25m.
Ratcliffe, 71, wants this summer’s transfer window to be transformative to the club in terms of bringing in new recruits.

But just as important is clearing out deadwood within the squad, and Ratcliffe wants to raise £100m to ease the club’s Financial Fair Play concerns – which stopped Erik ten Hag signing a striker in January.
And the Daily Mail say that has seen United put up to 11 players up for sale, with up to 13 members of the first team to exit in a major overhaul.
Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Mason Greenwood are players that could fetch substantial fees.
