Teddy Sheringham is certain Manchester City will beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final and win the treble.

Having overcome Arsenal to lift the Premier League title, City are now prepping for phase two of their treble campaign: Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley against their arch-rivals.

This in turn will be followed by the Champions League final against Inter Milan on 10th June in Istanbul.

Pep Guardiola’s team are heavily favoured to win all three trophies and become only the second English side in history to complete the continental treble.

The first was of course the United team of 1998/99 which featured Sheringham, with the striker famously scoring the injury-time equaliser against Bayern Munich in the UCL final before assisting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the winning goal just moments later.
The former Red Devil had previously said he was ‘not worried’ about City winning the treble and admitted they were ‘looking good’ to achieve it, but now he can’t see the Citizens missing out on the two remaining pieces of silverware, telling William Hill: ‘I do think City will win the Treble.

‘Whenever some teams have been close to doing it with a few weeks to go, I?ve always thought, “I don?t want them to”, but you look at this Manchester City team and they are just phenomenal.
