Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek could find himself back on the bench at new club Eintracht Frankfurt, if he doesn?t start impressing quickly for the German side.
That?s according to Tag 24, who send something of a warning to the Dutch midfielder and say he is ?already threatened? with a place back among the substitutes.
Van de Beek joined Eintracht on loan from Manchester United earlier this month in his latest attempt to get his career back on track away from Old Trafford.
There was plenty of optimism about the move, with Eintracht feeling they had gotten something of a bargain deal and a player who fits perfectly into their plans.
However, Tag 24 report that their glorious plan is yet to start showing any signs of working as yet and rather than getting going quickly, there is ?still a little sand in the gears?. They explain that Van de Beek, as well as fellow arrival Sasa Kalajdzic haven?t really ?taken off? as yet, with the three games since the Bundesliga restarted having been more than disappointing.
Neither player has been able to convince as yet and Van de Beek in particular has struggled, often looking ?like a foreign body? in the middle of the park. Coach Dino Toppmöller even admitted publically that he had played badly following their recent 1-0 win over Mainz.
That should come as bad news to the Manchester United man, particularly as Eintracht have three players all returning to their squad to compete for places.
