The side need to call it a day as the side has managed just one win since April and must reset. AC Milan played a bizzarre post-season friendly all the way in Australia just a week on from the final game of the season and two weeks prior to various international summer tournaments such as the Euros and Copa America. The team travelled a long way as a marketing ploy only to be embarrassed yet again conceding five goals in an ugly 5-2 defeat to fellow Serie A side AS Roma in Perth.
Daniele Bonera was managing the side following the dismissal of Stefano Pioli and went with lots of rotations across the game given the exhibition nature of the fixture and the lack of availability of some key players. Roma opened the scoring and kept taking the lead at 1-0, 2-1, 3-1, 4-2 and 5-2.
Theo Hernandez scored the first goal for Milan with a sublime volley connecting brilliantly with Yacine Adli?s cross from outside the box. Noah Okafor scored our second after weaving his way through a crowded Roma box and firing a hard shot.
Tijjani Reijnders hit the post and had a number of good chances as well as Alejandro Gimenez who impressed yet again otherwise it was a quiet fixture from Milan.
The Rossoneri play their next fixture in July against Rapid Vienna in Vienna.
