Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan started for France in their tight 1-0 victory over Belgium. Hernandez made a huge match winning tackle while Maignan was dominant with yet another clean sheet. Olivier Giroud was an unused sub. France take on Portugal in the quarters.
Tijjani Reijnders played 90 minutes in the Netherlands 3-0 win over Romania. The midfielder has been a core figure for the midfield and delivered some stunning line breaking passes. The Dutch will play Turkiye next. Rafael Leao played 76 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Slovenia. They went on to win on penalties after their keeper made three saves. Portugal progress and take on France next.
Noah Okafor was an unused substitute as Switzerland knocked out Italy 2-0. They will face England in the quarter finals.
Simon Kjaer was on the bench as Denmark were knocked out in a 2-0 loss to hosts Germany.
