Four Milan players progress to the semi finals on opposite ends of the bracket leaving the door open for Rossoneri on both sides of the final. AC Milan have six players in the quarter finals but only four progress to the semis. Okafor and Leao will go home while France and the Netherlands book their progression.
Rafael Leao?s Portugal took on Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan?s France in the quarter finals. Hernandez, Leao and Maignan were the best players on the pitch making a great impression of Milan in the game. Hernandez and Leao were important attacking outlets with lots of dangerous chances while Maignan dominated again with a 4th clean sheet in the Euros. A 0-0 draw sent the fixture to penalties. Maignan forced an error from Joao Felix leading to a 5-3 win for France as Hernandez cooly converted the final penalty. Leao was subbed after 105 minutes and exits the tournament. France face Spain in the semis. Tijjani Reijnders played 75 minutes in a 2-1 win voer Turkiye in the quarters. The game entirely turned around in the last 15 minutes as they Dutch overturned a 1-0 deficit to close out the tie late on. Netherlands played England in the semi finals.
Noah Okafor leaves the tournament without playing a single minute after Switzerland stunned England but eventually lost 5-3 on penalties.
