AC Milan launch Milan Futuro team in Serie C to further develop youth players. AC Milan announced on their website the formation of the Milan Futuro team registered in the third division of Italian football, Serie C. The team will play in the 60 team league that is split into three groups. Milan Futuro are placed in Group B.
The team will aim to further develop players from the Milan Primavera beyond the youth sector to play professionally against tougher opposition.
MANAGER
Daniele Bonera leaves the technical area at AC Milan first team to become the manager of Milan Futuro after five years in the role. Bonera is an ideal candidate having played 201 games for the Rossoneri and winning Scudetti as a player and coach too. PLAYERS
Familiar young faces from Milan?s first team and Primavera will switch to the Futuro team including Lapo Nava, Jan Carlo-Simic, Davide Bartesaghi, Kevin Zeroli and Francesco Camarda.
Milan signed Alex Jimenez permanently from Real Madrid as per their website and he will play in Serie C while partly deputising Theo Hernandez with the first team.
Some of the stars of Abate?s Primavera squad make it too such as Andrei Coubis, Victor Eletu, Dariusz Stalmach, Hugo Cuenca and Fredrik Nissen.
