The defender needs some improvement and focus, can Fonseca set him on the right track. AC Milan have announced on their website the signing of Brazilian right back Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent deal. The defender has signed a four year contract with an option to extend by one year.
He made 101 appearances for the London outfit since joining in 2021 but has not always been on the right side of things with numerous gaffes and a reputation in need of repair.
The former Barcelona and Real Betis defender has 10 caps for the Brazil national team ns is more defensively oriented as opposed to Milan?s current profile of wing backs. The 25 year old is the third signing of the summer and will be expected to compete with Milan?s current captain Davide Calabria for the starting spot.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the total package to sign Royal is 15 million euros from Spurs with potentially 2 million in add-ons.
Nicolo Schira is reporting that he will earn 2.5 million euros a year.
He will wear the jersey no. 22 (formerly belonging to Milan Legend, Kaka).
