Official: Bologna vs AC Milan Postponed Due To Extreme Weather

The match will not likely be played in 2024. It has been officially announced by Lega Serie A that the scheduled fixture for Saturday 26th October between AC Milan and Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall?Ara has been cancelled and is to be postponed to a new date.
The Ordinance of the Mayor of Bologna n. 761919/2024, which bans football matches in the city due to extreme weather concerns and does not allow the match to be played behind closed doors either.
There were late attempts to switch the venue of the fixture to Como or Verona but neither of these options panned out and the Rossoneri are left as the losers in this situation. It is unclear when the match will be replayed as both clubs have full schedules with the Serie A, UEFA Champions League and the Coppa Italia fixtures over the next few months as well as the Supercoppa Italiana for Milan.
This outcome leaves Paulo Fonseca in jeopardy as he loses suspended Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders for the crucial fixture against Napoli.
