La?Sean Sealey and Uriah Djedje are, arguably, the two most important players in their respective academy sides. Sealey contributes sublime numbers for the U18s, while Djedje provides a vital backbone across the U21s midfield. 

Unfortunately, neither player has yet been rewarded with a first or new professional deal, leaving their futures uncertain. Although this is not ideal, both will be extremely motivated to be in the Club?s future plans. 

Both have featured in first-team training across the season, and Djedje was even allocated a spot on the pre-season trip to Belgium. In David Wagner’s time at the club, academy players were allowed to regularly train with the first team – making the transition into the first team easier – and that’s something that has continued under Johannes Hoff Thorup. 
Sealey has had an extremely promising start to this campaign, backing up a successful 2023-24 season. He amassed over 20 goal contributions last season and is currently on course to match that, with six contributions so far. If you count his pre-season numbers, he?s currently on more than ten, which highlights his talent in front of goal.
