At the start of the 2023-24 campaign, City invited Errol Mundle-Smith to a trial, with the youngster hoping to sign a scholarship contract until the end of the season. Fast forward just over a year and Mundle-Smith has accumulated 23 goals in all competitions and earned himself a first professional contract until at least 2026. 

He is enjoying his most prolific spell at the club since joining, scoring in five consecutive games for the development side. He?s moved to second place in the PL2 goal-scoring rankings, sharing the position with six other players. He?s also the top scorer between the U18s and U21s teams while also accumulating the most goal contributions between the two sides. 

Although Mundle-Smith has been a prolific player in the striker position over recent weeks, that hasn?t been his exact role across the season, as he?s also been utilised on the left flank. Norwich lacked a one-on-one specialist in forward areas before the arrival of Brandon Forbes, meaning Errol spent a large proportion of August out wide.

Although the numbers weren?t as convincing when Mundle-Smith was out wide, he was a dynamic threat on the left with plenty of positive performances. During August, he only managed one goal contribution in three games, highlighting the comparisons between his prolific form since the arrival of Forbes.
