City look to extend their unbeaten run at Carrow Road to 20 matches on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Middlesborough, a side who haven?t lost there in over six years.
After salvaging a draw from two goals down away at Preston North End on Tuesday night, the Canaries look to go three points ahead of Boro, as both are currently sat on 17 points out of a possible 33.
Michael Carrick?s side have only won three of their last seven matches, but the most was an impressive 1-0 win over promotion-chasing Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
The Teesside club are currently eighth in the table, only behind Norwich on goal difference, and just two points shy of the top four.
The Canaries have drawn three of their last four in the league, twice in their previous two games which came against sides in the bottom half of the table, Stoke and Preston, who they would have been expected to beat by many punters.
However, the Canaries are unbeaten in their last six and, much like Middlesborough, will see Sunday?s game as a massive chance to get the better of a rival in the early race for the playoff positions and try to pull clear of them.
But this fixture is one where Norwich don?t have too many fond memories since their first meeting with Boro back in 1960, having been victorious in only 22 of the 61 games. They have also lost all of the last four meetings since Carrick took charge at the Riverside Stadium, and Boro also haven?t lost in their last three visits to Carrow ...
