Still a 2017-18-type season" Or do we now liken it to 2018-19" Your call…

Remember that time when many of us were likening JHT?s first Norwich City season to Daniel Farke?s first season"
Well ?that time? was only about three weeks ago. Now, off the back of three wins and a draw, we?ve very quickly pivoted and are now likening this team to Farke?s brilliant Class of 2018-19.
But have we gone too soon" Would it not be wiser to keep our powder dry, enjoy the spectacle of the flowing football and evolution of Hoff-ball, and just see where it takes us"
The answer to both of those questions is, of course, yes, but we?re football fans. Part of the deal is we major in irrational thinking, illogical thoughts and dreams.
Besides, after having endured a few seasons of football that was joyless and attritional, to now see our team playing with style, swagger and a pleasing ebb and flow is refreshing, to say the least. Add that to the overarching feeling of hope around the club, and you have one that has clambered back to its feet in the nick of time and which is now on a completely different course.
And that’s what makes all of this so exciting. As Chris Sutton eloquently describes in his EDP column today, ours is a club that appears to be heading in the right direction while, at the same time, rediscovering its identity.
We had lost our way. I’m not permitted to say how or under whose stewardship we lost our way – a regular critic of MFW will pop up in the comments and berate me if I do...
