It appears that Romaine Mundle?s decision to leave Tottenham on a free transfer and joining Standard Liège could see him quickly returning to England months after the initial move.
The young forward had decided to leave Spurs at the end of the season, after he refused to extend his contract with the London side, and ended up landing in Belgium.
While he hasn?t been a regular starter there, some in England haven?t forgotten the promise he showed at Tottenham, and DH in Belgium are reporting that Plymouth Argyle, Stoke City and Swansea City are all keen on the 20-year-old.
The idea from the English trio would be to bring the forward in on loan without an option to buy, and a decision is expected to be taken early on this week.
?Talks are underway? with Swansea, Stoke and Plymouth to make the move happen before the end of the month, and it seems likely that one of them will be welcoming the winger in the next few days. The move to Standard Liège was meant to be an opportunity for Mundle to play a bit more and get first-team football, but 11 appearances in all competitions isn?t likely what he had in mind when he left Tottenham, meaning his return to England could be a chance to get some minutes in his legs.
We now just have to wait and see whether it’s Swansea, Stoke or Plymouth who will be the ones giving them to him.
