Last weekend, Stoke City announced that they have agreed a deal with Rotherham United for Viktor Johansson?s transfer.
The Potters have confirmed the goalkeeper will sign a three-year deal, but didn?t provide any details of their agreement with him or Rotherham United.
Thursday?s edition of Aftonbladet provides an insight into the deal the 25-year-old has in place with Stoke City.
Rotherham United were relegated from the Championship and the stopper had kept six clean sheets and conceded 85 goals from 45 league games.
Despite this, the Swede?s performances had seen him attract interest from Stoke City, Leeds United and a few other clubs, before Stoke won the battle in the end. According to the report, Johansson will collect SEK 48m [£3.5m] for three years, which is equivalent to to £1.16m per year.
The newspaper adds this makes the goalkeeper one of the highest earners at Stoke City, without specifying who’s the top earner.
Johansson made 144 appearances during his four years at Rotherham United. Prior to that, he had spells at Leicester City and Aston Villa, where the player wasn?t given any opportunities.
