Fabrizio Romano reports Spurs-linked attacker has release clause of just £10.5m

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Paulo Dybala can be signed by non-Italian clubs for just ?12m (£10.5m) due to a clause in his AS Roma contract.
Dybala was linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer of 2022 after his contract with Juventus ran out, with journalist Pedro Almeida revealing at the time that Fabio Paratici had spoken with the Argentine over potentially joining the North London club.

However, it was AS Roma who won the race for the attacker, who has enjoyed a solid first season at the Stadio Olimpico, with 16 goals and eight assists across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
Romano has now revealed that Dybala might be on his way out of the Italian capital, just a year on from signing the club, owing to a release clause in his contract. The journalist revealed that Italian clubs would have to pay ?20m (£17.6m) to activate the clause, in which case Roma could ‘cancel’ it by activating a salary rise from ?3.8m (£3.3m) to ?6m (£5.2m) for the player.
However, he added that foreign clubs would only have to pay ?12m (£10.5m) for to activate the clause and in that scenario, the decision would be left with Dybala himself.

In case Italian club triggers the clause, AS Roma have option to ?cancel? it by activating salary rise from ?3.8m to ?6m.
? ?12m for clubs from abroad.
In this case, Paulo Dybala would have the final say. pic.tw...
