Postecoglou insists ‘nothing magical’ will happen for Spurs in January transfer window

Many Tottenham Hotspur fans are hopeful that the club can bring in new players in the January transfer window that will help them push on and challenge at the very top this season, but Ange Postecoglou has tempered expectations with his latest comments.
The summer transfer window was a transformative one for Spurs, with Ange Postecoglou bringing in top-quality talent such as Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, and Guglielmo Vicario, all of whom have proven to be key figures in the Lilywhites squad.
The first half of the season has gone fairly well for Spurs under their new manager, too. As things stand, the North London club are sitting in fifth place, and are not too far away from the title race.

Spurs fans should not expect January miracles
Speaking to the press (via Football.London), Postecoglou remained realistic about just how much can be done in January to further transform his squad.
He said: “We are where we are. The transfer window, nothing magical is going to happen in the January window. What we need to do is just keep building. We’ve had one window with this team to change it around, to do things differently.
