Pundit claims Levy would get ‘pelters’ if he appoints this manager at Spurs

Simon Jordan has said that Daniel Levy would be criticised widely for a lack of ambition if he appoints Ryan Mason as Tottenham’s permanent head coach.
Mason did an admirable job when he was put in charge of Tottenham temporarily after Jose Mourinho’s sacking in 2021, winning four of his six Premier League games in charge.

The 31-year-old has made an impressive start to his second spell in the hot seat as the Lilywhites battled back from two goals down at half-time to salvage a draw against Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday.
Mason remarked ahead of the game that although his focus is entirely on the task at hand, he believes he is ready to be Spurs’ full-time head coach (Football:London). On the back of Tottenham’s performance on Thursday, it appears that some fans are already coming around the idea of the former Spurs midfielder getting the gig.

However, Jordan believes that Levy cannot afford to appoint someone inexperienced like Mason because of the bad optics of such a decision.
