Pundit claims Tottenham player ‘has got more to his game’ than £115m star
Tim Sherwood has said that Yves Bissouma is a better player than Moises Caicedo, who moved to Chelsea for a British record £115m transfer fee this summer.
There was plenty of excitement around Bissouma when he arrived at Tottenham last year on the back of a few excellent campaigns for Brighton.
However, the Mali international struggled to get much game time under Antonio Conte, with the Italian even stating publicly that the midfielder was ‘struggling’ with the tactical demands of his system (The Athletic).
Postecoglou has had no such qualms about using Bissouma, throwing him straight into his starting eleven after arriving at the club, and the midfielder has repaid the Australian’s faith.
The 27-year-old has been one of the best players across the Premier League so far this season and delivered another dominant display in the North London Derby on Sunday. Sherwood has praised Postecoglou for getting the best out of the former Brighton man and opined that he is a better player than Caicedo, despite the amount that the Blues paid for the Ecuadorian.
