Corriere Della Sera have reported that Tottenham are planning an ‘assault’ for Atalanta midfielder, Ederson, as they look to reinforce their midfield (via Napoli Magazine and Sport Witness).

The report claims that Tottenham are ‘ready’ to push ahead with a move for Ederson as they continue to shop around in Serie A for new signings.

This comes after the Lilywhites have signed Radu Dragusin, Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Italy in recent years.

Tottenham and Juventus both like Ederson

Tottenham are reportedly attempting to beat Juventus to Ederson’s signature, with the Serie A giants looking for an immediate replacement for Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli, both of whom are suspended.
Spurs have been linked with Ederson all month long (GiveMeSport) and Corriere Della Sera have previously reported that Fabio Paratici is driving Tottenham’s interest in the Brazilian.

However, Corriere Bergamo reported that Atalanta had ‘said no to Tottenham’ when informed of the North London club’s interest, so it could be a battle to sign the midfielder.

I can’t see Spurs signing any more players in January if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is staying. The new midfielder and new attacker will have to wait until the summer when there is more of a clearout and deals are a little easier to complete.
