Report: Spurs have to raise offer they made in the summer by at least £10m to land target

Ben Jacobs has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur would have to make a bid in the region of £45m-£50m to sign Conor Gallagher, which is significantly more than the fee they were willing to pay for the midfielder last summer.
Over the last couple of weeks, various reports have indicated that Tottenham are ready to pounce on Gallagher after Chelsea decided to put their academy graduate on the shop window (talkSPORT).
It was suggested by TEAMtalk last week that an offer in the region of £40m might be enough for Spurs to convince the Blues to part ways with the England international, but the publication warned that West Ham and Man Utd could enter the race for the player.

Jacobs has now taken to social media to state that Gallagher is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place and that Mauricio Pochettino is happy to keep him.
He explained that Chelsea will only sell the 23-year-old for an offer of around £45m-£50m, while Spurs were only willing to pay £35m for the midfielder last summer.
