Report: Spurs set to pass on the opportunity to sign £27m winger

Tottenham Hotspur are not expected to take up the opportunity to sign Arnaut Danjuma on a permanent basis, according to the Evening Standard.
The Dutch international joined Tottenham on loan from Villarreal in January with the club having the option to make his move permanent for a £27million transfer fee.
Danjuma had looked set to join Everton in the winter transfer window and despite conducting media duties and a medical with the Goodison Park outfit ahead of an announcement, he pulled the plug on the transfer and headed to Hotspur Way instead (Daily Mail).
The 26-year-old only made one Premier League start during his time at Tottenham, which came under Ryan Mason in the 3-1 defeat to Brentford earlier this month which all but ended their hopes of Europa League qualification. Danjuma took to his Instagram account to pen a message to Spurs fans earlier this week in which he admitted he had not had the opportunities that he had wished for at the club.
He said: ?It is very difficult to sum up the season we’ve all had in words. Many highs and lows, yet I tried to give my all, anytime, at any moment for you all. An indifferent return to the Premier League for me. I’d be lying if I wasn’t disappointed with how the season ended for the club, the fans and me.
?I have proven and I know I have the ability to influence games and make a big impact, and if I could turn back the clocks and be given a chance to demonstrate that I would without question.
