Which Spurs player has best value per goal"
Looking at each of the six main attackers in the Tottenham squad right now and the transfer fees that were paid for them, we’ve worked out who has offered the best return on their value based on the goals they have either scored or assisted in their Spurs career to date.
It will come as a surprise to no one that Heung-min Son, who cost the club just £22m back in 2015, has proven to be an absolute bargain if we’re judging him solely on goal contributions. Each goal that the Spurs captain has delivered works out at just £87,649, making it an incredible deal overall.
Interestingly, Dejan Kulusevski comes in second, with each of his 38 goal contributions coming in at £894,736 in relation to his transfer fee. He’s the only other player in the list whose goals and assists have cost less than £1m apiece.
Dominic Solanke, rather unsurprisingly, currently offers the worst value for money in terms of goals, but we would expect and hope that he will end up scoring a lot more goals to reduce that cost over time.
